As the keeper of the original copy of the 1910 State Constitution, the State Records Center and Archives (SRCA) believes it is important to commemorate the constitutional convention of 1910 and the documents that resulted from the work of the delegates as crucial steps on the long road to statehood. To that end, the SRCA has produced a new website dedicated to the 1910 constitutional convention and the State Constitution. Visitors to the site will find an interpretive essay on the importance of the constitution as well as an account of the 1945 reunion of delegates. There are photographs and short biographies of the delegates. Links will take visitors to key documents in New Mexico constitutional history such as the 1910 Constitution, the current Constitution, a history of constitutional amendments, and a series of essays on the road to statehood.
